A more difficult alternative to Col d'Aspin but with less traffic and smaller roads. It also can be part of a circle with the Aspin and other climbs in the area.

CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling Hourquette d’Ancizan from Campan (TdF 2022)

Ride 8.2 kilometers gaining 461 meters at 5.1% average grade (6.7% climb only)

You know when The Tour is coming through . . . .

Along with Col du Tourmalet and Col d’Aspin, this is one of the 3 great bike climbs beginning in Sainte Marie de Campan.  Hourquette has been a minor player (connecting col) in the Tour de France 5 times (2011, 2013, 2016, 2019, 2022).

Note that the 2022 TdF Hourquette route begins further south from Campan than the full Hourquette route because the 2022 TdF connects to Hourquette after the descent from Col d’Aspin.

Climb finish.
