I heard rumors that the last 5k of this climb are difficult and I can confirm that they are true! Before St Paul, the gradients are pretty tame along a river valley. There are a couple of well lit tunnels to get through on the way. Once you hit 5k to go, it is basically 9 and 10% gradients until the top along mostly long straight stretches. Strong headwinds can make it even more challenging. The scenery is very nice higher up if you have a chance to look.
