This climb finishes just to the south of Puig Major which, at 1,436 meters is the highest point on Mallorca.. It is also the second most difficult climb on the island after the La Sobremunt climb. Puig Major is also an extremely populated bike climb with 70,993 Stava members having done it as of November, 2022 - Strava Puig Major segment.
The climb ends at the tunnel (top right photo).
Puig is hill in Catalan and Major means “greater” - thus, the rough translation of Puig Major is the greatest or highest hill.
