"A rare listed climb on a relatively busy road, this one is worth it however as it is a true category 1 ascent among the multiple folded ridges of scenic west central Idaho. An isolated start, the grade of White Bird Hill is stout right from the beginning and remains that way essentially the entire way up the hill. The good thing is that it is also one of the steadiest grades you will find. There is intermittent high speed traffic on this road but most of the uphill is wide 2 lanes so there is room to maneuver. The route travels along a ridge as you ascend through mostly gentle curves. As you ride this sold ascent good views to your right eventually appear along with a few trees as you approach the finish..."
