These are photos from Tiger Leaping Gorge till Shangri-La. There is more than 1 climb. After Baishutai there are 3 more climbs, the last one going probably higher than 3500 m since there are yaks. A long descends brings you to Shangri-La at an altitude of 3200 m. (Tour 2008 from Jinghong to Shangri-La). Photo 1: Leaving Tiger Leaping Gorge. Photo 2: On the way to Baishutai, background Haba Snow Mountains. Photo 3: Yaks along the road. Photo 4: The last and highest climb before descending to Shangri-La. Photo 5: Dancing at the old square in Shangri-La.
