CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling North Ogden Divide East

Ride 2.1 miles gaining 955’ at 8.6% average grade.

The North Ogden Divide traverses the Wasatch Range in northern Utah, offering access to the lush landscapes and recreational trails of the Ogden Valley. This area is renowned for its vibrant wildflowers in spring and summer, and its panoramic vistas of the Wasatch Mountains, making it a favorite among cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.

Climb summary by PJAMM Ambassador Bruce Hamilton.

The North Ogden Divide East is a short but steep climb starting near the town of Liberty and ascending back toward Ogden. At just over two miles, most of the route features double-digit gradients, making it a challenging ascent despite its brief length. This side of the divide is greener and more scenic than the west, with several photo opportunities as the mountain rises to the right and a steep drop-off with expansive views lies to the left. Riding both the east and west climbs in a single outing covers about 10 miles and nearly 3,000 feet of elevation gain.

Thank you Bruce Hamilton and Stacy Topping!!
