Cycling Cunningham Road, New York

“Cunningham Road is another stout area hill and perhaps the most isolated. The grade is solid right away as you pull away from the stop sign at climb start. Soon you enter trees. Beyond, the grade increases and views appear to your right after you exit the woods. From here the slope becomes stair step with one ramp in particular carrying quite solid grade, including the climb maximum. Near the top the pedaling eases and the listed climb ends with its junction with Route 10.” (This quote is provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 124.)
