“The north side of Route 206 is a short and solid grade ascent just south of Walton, NY.  A short shallow section at climb start as you leave town soon yields to stout pedaling.  The route heads up a ridgeline and the road carries intermittent traffic.  About halfway up you encounter a short flat and then you are back up to solid slope.  Near the top the grade eases and the climb ends under a flashing light.  Due to grade and fairly straight routing, 206 North is a fast descent as well.” (This quote is provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 128.)
