Climb Summary

“Claryville Road is a short but solid ascent from the small town of Grahamsville, NY.  The start is stout as you soon head up the hill over the steepest sustained climbing on the hill along with a car or two here and there.  At mile 1.4 turn right on Cummings Road as Claryville Road flattens out.  Cummings road begins as shallow but gradually increases in grade, passing a few homes within woods.  Towards the very top the slope eases considerably and the climb ends as the pavement ends.” (This quote is provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 137.)
