Cycling Route 52 East, New York
Photo: Wikipedia
“The climb up the east side of Route 52 is over fairly steady grade and with a few vehicles at times. An easy start in town soon leads out of town to the west and to more challenging pedaling with shade in places. The road leads you through mostly gentle curves over its route and there are no real surprises on this one. Although the slope eventually eases slightly, it is solid right up to the unmarked but obvious summit.” (This quote is provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 143.)
