Coming up from the west side of the App Gap, it has a steeper finish than the east side for sure, but is less of sustained climb. The Views were great and road was in pretty good condition on the descent! Some cars but not too bad...combining this with the east side makes for a good hillclimb!

The west climb has the better open views, especially nearest the top! It also has the better road surface as the east side has some breaks. The finish at the top is also an entrance to the appalachian trail so there are always people up there which is handy to have photos taken:)
