Rode this along with Moretown Gap East and combined it's a good day of climbing! The west side is much more difficult than the East. It's a decent challenge but nothing too severe in terms of gradient. At the end is the hardest section as there is a rather lengthy straightaway for 0.6 miles at roughly 11% that you can see the whole way up and get into a good rhythm.
I parked at the Moretown General Store and had no issues. The road quality is not the best but not bad, it's basically like smooth dirt and pavement, but not too bumpy. You can climb up or descent down without much issue. Traffic is not an issue. There really are no views here but the fall foliage looks nice!
