Climb Summary

This climb is the most difficult climb in South San Diego (maybe all SD). It’s only 4.5 miles in length but averages an eye watering 9-10% depending on which strava segment you look at. The top of the climb is especially awful as it ramps well over 20%. The only issue with this climb is that it is technically on government land. My experience, as well as others that have attempted this climb is that workers at the top or on the road have only ever waived at them in passing. Just this Saturday I was cheered on as I hit the final pitch to the peak by workers at the site.
