A very popular local climb starting in the center of Vence. Hundreds of cyclists do this on the weekend. Traffic is light Monday to Friday. Great views to the south of Nice and Cote D'Azur. Having done it a few times, frankly the descent is more fun. Only a couple hairpins (laces in French), it's non-technical. Whichever way one does it, the col makes part of a great loop, so continue over the col and check out Coursegoules and continue descending to Carros and back down the Var. OR, do this counter-clockwise, in which case the Col is almost an afterthought as Coursegoules is higher, and you've only 50-60 meters climbing to summit the col from that direction.
