CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling Bartlett Springs

Frontside (from the lake) - Ride 6.2 miles gaining 2,574’ at 7.9% average grade.

Backside - 6.7 miles gaining 1,822’ at 5% average grade.

Frontside - from Nice and northeastern end of Clear Lake

According to our friend John Berude:

There are actually two climbs, one on each side of the pass. I think it should be doable on 33s. The Clearlake side might be tougher as it is dusty and has some loose, deep dust sections. The backside is in much better shape and would be highly enjoyable on that setup.[1]

Backside

[1] The setup John is referring to is a Roubaix with 33 mm knobbies in the back.
