Cycling Kinsman Notch East, New Hampshire
Photo: Wikipedia
“The east side of Kinsman Notch is another popular area hill that carries riders west from the Lincoln, NH area over a road that sees little traffic most days. The first half mile is fairly shallow and then the grade picks up but is not steep. Soon more challenging pedaling arrives over a mostly straight section that takes you further up the mountain. The road again beings to curve a bit over the final segment up to the unmarked but obvious summit as the grade flattens out. The straight section makes for a fairly quick descent as well.” (This quote is presented with the approval of John Summerson, from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 100.)
