Cycling Crawford Notch South, New Hampshire

“Crawford Notch is a short but solid hill located west of Mount Washington that does carry some traffic at times. It begins over shallow grade that gradually steepens as you ride northwest between steep mountain walls. Towards the top the slope eases and then there is one more short solid stretch up to the listed top. Crawford Notch is a quick descent as well.” (This quote is presented with the approval of John Summerson, from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 89.)
