“Ellsworth Hill Road is another short and solid ascent near Interstate 93 in central New Hampshire.  The hill begins over solid grade which becomes stair step.  Early on you encounter a short descent but climbing quickly resumes as you continue west through woods and with a few homes along the way.  Near the top you find the steepest ramp on the hill.  The grade then eases and goes flat a short distance later at an unmarked top.” (This quote is presented with the approval of John Summerson, from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 103.)
