“The north side of Route 112 is a short and pleasant ascent you can use to link up with other riding/climbing in the area.  The two lane road carries a bit of traffic at times but not enough to ruin the climb and there is a small shoulder for riding.  From climb start the grade gradually increases up to solid as you ride through woods but there is no steep stuff on this hill.  The listed climb ends after 1.6 miles as the slope goes flat.  Its intersection with Route 116 is 0.6 miles further south.” (This quote is provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 80.)
