Cycling Route 23 East, Massachusetts

“The east side of Route 23 is an interesting ascent that parallels busy Interstate 90. From the junction with Route 20 you pull away to the west over solid grade and through woods. One mile in you will cross under the interstate. The slope then becomes somewhat rolling with easy pedaling interspersed with more solid ramps although you will not find steep climbing on this hill. Towards the summit you enter the town of Blandford and the slope eases up to the listed top at the junction with North Street on the right.” (This quote provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike) in the Northeast, pg. 86.)
