An amazing ascent, Pipers Gap is short but one you will remember. It has solid grade, particularly over its first half. It sweeps up the mountain ridge on a single lane through much of its length and is very scenic. Several tight turns add an alpine feel (and add to a sweet descent). It ends at the Blue Ridge Parkway with other riding possibilities. Perhaps my favorite climb in the Southeast.
