Ride 22 kilometers gaining 1,611 meters at 7.4% average grade.
This extremely challenging bike climb takes us from Sion (the center of the hardest bike climbing area in the world) to Thyon Ski Resort in the Pennine Alps. The steepest kilometer is encountered over the course of 2 hairpins beginning at kilometer 17.
The road is to a ski resort, so it is open year round . . . if you dare . . .
Le Tipi Bar and Club at the top of the climb.
Finish at the Mont Rouge ski lodge and Cheminees lift.
