Cycling Hauts de Sonchaux

Ride 9.7 kilometers gaining 965 meters at 10% average grade.

This climb begins in Villeneuve at the southern tip of Lake Geneva.

BIKE HIKE - SONCHAUX + ROCHERS DE NAYE

From the finish of our bike climb, hike Via Alpina trail another 3.5 kilometers at 16.8% average grade another 540 meters to Rochers de Naye.  Otherwise known as “rocks of Naye” we top out at 2,042 meters (6,699’) high in the Swiss Alps overlooking Lake Geneva just above Montreux and Villeneuve.  You may also take the train from Montreux to summit station (1,968 meters) and hike the last 80 meters to the overlook.
