INTRO
Blue Mound is tied with Rib Mountain for the hardest cycling climb in Wisconsin. This climb is 90 minutes from Milwaukee and 2.5 hours from Chicago.
Each year, the Friends of Blue Mound State Park organizes the Horribly Hilly Hundreds cycling event, one of the Midwest's toughest mapped out cycling courses, with up to 10,000 feet of ascent (more info in the Travel Tips tab).

The 200K option of the HHH offers 124.2 miles of riding. You'll climb 40 significant rises, from 50-foot bumps to the 910-foot final climb, for a total of 10,700 feet of elevation gain. The 150K route features 9,300 feet of elevation gain. The 100K route has 5,700 feet of elevation gain over 66.5 miles on this route. The ride finishes with a celebration of local food and beer atop Blue Mound State Park, the highest point in Southern Wisconsin (1719 ft.).
