There is parking right at start, if you do Straight Creek climb first, which is great climb and becomes Quartzville Dr. At some point, you will turn around and ride Quartzville climb, which is great. I suppose you could start your journey on west side, but I've never done that, because I'm coming from Bend, not Portland or other. Cheers.
