Had some nice broad views over the horizon towards the top, and the sense of scale as it opens out nearing the lodge is excellent. The lodge area isn't the most dramatic experience as mountains go, but it's nice to see it staying busy with mountain biking and hiking groups. I had thought the groove running between the lanes might be an issue on the descent, but I underestimated how wide the roads were. You can go pretty fast without even pedaling towards the top, though there are some tighter bends you'll need to slow down for eventually. Climbing without a warmup was more work than that extra grade at the top which I didn't really notice.
You can ride up past the lodge up to where the lift drops out if you're feeling like exploring as high as your circles will allow and don't mind a quick gravel strip.

Great for repeats; fast descent. You should ride this, but also the "old road" which is basically parallel route and also found on PJAMM. Stay at Timberline Lodge; great breakfast buffet.
