CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling Salita Tortora Marina Incrocio

Ride 15 kilometers gaining 1000 meters at 5.3% average grade (9.2% climb only).

Climb summary by PJAMM ambassador Bruce Hamilton, Midway, Utah.

This climb starts in the seaside village of Tortora Marina and winds up into very remote mountains along the coast. Once you pass through the town of Tortora about 1/3 of the way up the road becomes much smaller and is just a winding path in a remote and completely isolated area.

Old Italian villages perched on top of bluffs provide incredible views and higher up it’s just remote forest. We saw no cars and no people for most of the climb. Easy to combine this climb with the neighboring climb up to the statue from Maratea.

Thank you Bruce and Stacy!!
