Although there are some spectacular views of Mt. St. Helena 6 miles north, this is a very busy road - the main northern connector between the Napa Valley and Santa Rosa/Hwy 101 to the west. This is a good climb throughout and the crux of the climb is .2 miles @14.2% from miles .65 - .85. There is a good shoulder the entire ride, but large commercial trucks, trucks towing trailers and boats and general high vehicle traffic certainly dampens the otherwise excellent views along the climb.
