Col de la Colombière is located in the eastern section of central France its border with Switzerland.  This col is in the Savoy Prealps sub range of the Alps.

Col de la Colombière has been included in the Tour de France 22 times between 1960 and 2018 and will be the final climb of the first Mountain Stage in 2021.
