CLIMB SUMMARY

Climb Summary

This climb begins in Santa Rosa, CA at the intersection of East Foothill and Grace Drives and is one climbing bang for you buck.  Short but extremely steep, this climb can be used for repeats or just to cross it off your "Top Sonoma County Climbs" list.  The 12% average belies the extreme challenge of this climb which hits 20% average for a brief period when we turn from Grace onto Happy Valley Drive and hit THE Wall.   The descent is treacherous as there is a stop sign at the bottom of Happy Valley which is nearly impossible to stop at unless one is very aware and rides the brakes the entire 20% descent segment just before the stop sign.

Roadway surface/Traffic:  As of October 2017 this road is in good shape.
