INTRO

This climb is accessed off Hwy 1 in Sonoma County CA and is extremely steep for its first 100 yards and particularly the last 3 tenths of a mile at the top (15.3% average grade). If you are a cyclist that loves climbing and are staying on the Sonoma County coast, particularly the Timber Cove Inn, don't miss this climb. The roadway surface is excellent, the road is wide and smooth, and the descent is one of the fastest in Sonoma County. There is minimal traffic on this road and it is very safe. This road connects to Sea View which connects King Ridge, Fort Ross and Meyers grade. All spectacular climbs in the area. Often Timer Cove is a descent, being steep and smooth make sure to descent with caution so you don't grab a handful of brakes towards the bottom.
