I liked this climb much better than the Col de la Republique that basically runs parallel to it. This climb is a bit harder with much better scenery. You can do both climbs by going from one to the other via the D37 near the top. It saves the hassle of navigating your way through St. Etienne. You can also combine this climb with the Col de l’OEillon if you want something more difficult.
