CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling Chalk Creek Road

Ride 23.4 miles gaining 2,095’ at 2% average grade (2.6% climb only)

Climb summary by PJAMM’s best buddy and ambassador Bruce Hamilton.

This ride starts in the town of Coalville and proceeds east up into the Uinta mountain range. These Utah climbs into the Uinta range are less steep than the Wasatch climbs and generally go uphill at river grade through beautiful open valleys. This climb is no exception and the ride is through beautiful scenery at a gradual grade. Very little traffic here and while this is not a hard climb by PJAMM standards it is very enjoyable. Just a ½ mile or so before the top, there is a sign for a left turn to go to Evanston but go straight at that intersection and the road will veer to the right. At that point you’re riding directly on the Wyoming-Utah border and a short time later you’ll see the geological marker denoting the SW corner of Wyoming.

Thank you Bruce!!
