"The climb of Marys Peak in east central Oregon is a long and moderate grade ascent. The initial section is on Route 34 along a very dark and twisty section and a little bit of traffic at times. At mile 2.6 turn right toward Marys Peak. This route is narrow and has poor pavement in places but you should encounter very little traffic. There is a descent/flat in the middle of this section. Once climbing resumes it is again moderate and the hill ends at the top of the parking area just shy of the top of Marys Peak with great views on clear days..." The views from the top of Mary's Peak are stunning. However, beware the weather. This is Oregon and what begins with a nice ride can easily end up featuring rain and fog. Snow in the winter? Absolutely. But on a clear Spring or Summer's Day it's hard to beat!
