"The more uniform approach to the Snowshoe Resort, the west side climb is steady and fairly scenic and carries a bit more traffic than the east side.  From the creek you ride among some trees and then the route opens up as you gain altitude with no surprises on the way up.  The listed climb ends as the grade levels out at the Shamrock condos on the left." (This quote provided with the approval of John Summerson from his book, The Complete Guide to Climbing (by Bike), 2nd Edition, pg. 101.)
