CLIMB SUMMARY

Cycling Lamossons Glen Road

Ride 2.4 miles gaining 921’ at 7.2% average grade.

Climb summary by PJAMM ambassador Dan Razum.

Hmm, more climbs should be like this one because there is an ice cream shop at the start of this climb! The shop, called Zeek's Place, looked good but it started raining heavily near the top of the climb so we didn't get a chance to sample the ice cream after the climb.

The climb starts off moderately steep and we soon come to the steepest section, a short ramp a little over 10%.  There are a couple such ramps during the climb, in a stair step fashion with a steep section followed by a flatter section.  But there isn't any super steep gradient on this climb, everything is pretty manageable.

We do go on different roads throughout this climb. We start on Lamossons Glen, then turn right onto Buckhorn Drive, then right again onto Castners Road and finally left onto Harmony Brass Castle Road. The first two turns are off the "main" road, so it's good to watch the road signs.  The last turn, onto Harmony Brass Castle, is at a t-intersection, so you just turn in the uphill direction.

Overall, this is a nice climb, not super hard but hard enough to make you work and hopefully there is  an ice cream reward awaiting at the bottom afterwords (weather permitting).

Top of the climb.
