Cycling Col des Mosses from the South

Ride 17.9 kilometers gaining 1,007 meters at 5.6% average grade.

Col des Mosses is located in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland.  This is the southern of two approaches to the Col (see also PJAMM Cycling Col des Mosses North).

Col des Mosses is a bit more well known than your average rural mild bike climb because it has been included in the Tour de France 5 times between 1949 and 2023.  This climb is featured in Stage 9 of the 2022 Tour de France.  The climb has also been included in the Tour de Romandie 3 times, but only once in the Tour de Suisse.

The steepest kilometer of this climb is 7.8% beginning at kilometer 13.
