SOUTH DAKOTA #1 O’NEIL PASS

Ride 29.6 miles gaining 3,096’ at 1.9% average grade (2.4% climb only).

SOUTH DAKOTA #2 SPEARFISH CANYON

Cycling Spearfish Canyon

Ride 20.3 miles gaining 2,518’ at 2.3% average grade

The climb begins in the historic mining town of Spearfish and ascends into the magnificent Spearfish Canyon, ending just beyond Cheyenne Crossing.

Spearfish and O’neil Pass share their first 17.4 miles with each other.

SOUTH DAKOTA #3 TERRY PEAK

Cycling Terry Peak Summit Road - the hardest bike climb in South Dakota.

Ride 6.1 miles gaining 1,539’ at 4.4% average grade (5.5% climb only).

Gravel for the last 3.2 miles - the last 9/10’s of a mile averages 8.3%.

Manageable but we recommend 30mm+ tires.
