SOUTH DAKOTA #1 TERRY PEAK

Cycling Terry Peak Summit Road - the hardest bike climb in South Dakota.

Ride 6.1 miles gaining 1,539’ at 4.4% average grade (5.5% climb only).

Gravel for the last 3.2 miles - the last 9/10’s of a mile averages 8.3%.

Manageable but we recommend 30mm+ tires.

SOUTH DAKOTA #2 O’NEIL PASS

Ride 29.6 miles gaining 3,096’ at 1.9% average grade (2.4% climb only).

SOUTH DAKOTA #3 SPEARFISH CANYON

Cycling Spearfish Canyon

Ride 20.3 miles gaining 2,518’ at 2.3% average grade

The climb begins in the historic mining town of Spearfish and ascends into the magnificent Spearfish Canyon, ending just beyond Cheyenne Crossing.
