We love San Francisco. The combination of legendary steepness, good food, and tons of great sightseeing makes this an awesome city to cycle in. Just outside the city are some of the most popular cycling climbs in America, like Mt. TamMt. DiabloHawk Hill, and Mt. Umunhum, making the Bay area one of the best cycling destinations in the country.

CLIMB SUMMARY

This one is brutally steep, and not for the faint of heart...

“That’s not a street man, that’s a sidewalk! That doesn’t even count!” - Sam Lyons, in disbelief upon first seeing the climb

A sidewalk it may be, but a climb it is 😈

Sam didn’t make it up his first time! Apparently he “slipped on some leaves”

We don’t recommend descending this one….

Broderick will test your max power output. If you’re not going full gas, you might just fall backwards

When we started on this adventure, we thought Broderick was the steepest average gradient in the world. Little did we know of what was just a block over….
