INTRO

This is the part of Baker Street that a normal (insane PJAMMer) human being should climb. But if you want the real challenge, you have to go just a few feet further to climb the steepest paved average gradient in the entire world...

We love San Francisco. The combination of legendary steepness, good food, and tons of great sightseeing makes this an awesome city to cycle in. Just outside the city are some of the most popular cycling climbs in America, like Mt. TamMt. DiabloHawk Hill, and Mt. Umunhum, making the Bay area one of the best cycling destinations in the country.

CLIMB SUMMARY

Ok, this climb is insane. Even accounting for this mostly flat side-street (Vallejo St.), this still ranks as the #6 steepest average gradient in the WORLD (31.1%). One of the many reasons we love San Francisco.

Being literally right next to Presidio, this climb has lust-worthy views of the city and bay. Should we set up a PJAMM headquarters here?

This climb would make a great test of your 5 second max power.

This is definitely a driveway, but it goes to an apartment complex, so it’s a public road.
