The Abruzzo Region in Italy is directly between Rome and the Adriatic Sea. This province is home to the world ranked Blockhaus as well as some other incredibly scenic climbs like Gran Sasso d'Italia. The Giro d'Italia makes its way through this mountain range each year, often hitting one of the two climbs mentioned above. If you're going on a trip to Rome, definitely bring your bike to explore the mountains of central Italy!
