We have little information on the bike climbs in China. We do know that this country has some fascinating roads shrouded in mystery, such as the stunning Panlong Ancient Road, an extremely remote road with over 600 hairpins, so recently paved that it doesn't even show up on Google Maps. Needless to say, there is tons of exploring left to do in China on a bicycle, possibly the most undervalued cycling country in the world.
The best, hardest, most scenic, and epic road bike climbs in China can be viewed on this page via the map (zoom in to view climbs in particular areas), by Climb Cards (photo and stats) or by a detailed list of the climbs that can be arranged in metric or imperial units by difficulty, distance (longest climbs in the area), altitude gained, highest elevation (highest summit), average grade (sort the grades by varying distances), lowest start point, etc. Click on "Climb Page" to jump to the detail page for that particular bike climb.
The top 10 bike climbs in China are 1. Panlong Ancient Road (West), 2. Fengshuiling, 3. Panlong Ancient Road, 4. Lagpa La, 5. Pang La (Everest side), 6. Mount HuaShan (Qinling), 7. Tianmen Mountain road, 8. 68 Hairpins Yiliang, 9. Lijiang to Zhongdian Climb, and 10. Lagpo La (Yamdrok Lake)
