Nouvelle-Aquitaine is the largest province of France, spanning from the Spanish border to the center of the country. This province includes the western French Pyrenees, as well as Bordeaux, one of the most famous wine-growing regions in the world. Other than the easternmost climbs such as Col d'Aubisque, climbs in the Nouvelle-Aquitane Pyrenees are used less often in the Tour de France compared to those in neighboring Occitane (Tourmalet)
