Andalucia is the southernmost province of Spain, just north of the Straight of Gibraltar. This region is home to two major mountain ranges, the Sierra Morena and the Sierra Nevada (Snowy Mountains), one of the highest mountain ranges in continental Europe. The most well known climb of this range is Pico del Veleta, the highest paved road in Europe. These ranges are visited by the Vuelta a España annually.
